AI video with the original audio: what each tool keeps
5 min read
To keep the original audio in an AI video, use a tool that edits your recording instead of generating a new video. Duble AI, vswp and Real Xablau say the result keeps the sound of the clip you upload. Text or image to video generators such as Seedance 2.5 create new audio instead.
Duble AI is this site's product. The other tools were read on their own pages on October 24, 2026, with a link in each row. No side-by-side test was run, and where a page says nothing about audio the table says "not stated".
Three different jobs people call "audio"
Someone searching for "AI video with sound" can mean three things, and each needs a different kind of tool:
- Keep the recording's sound. You already have a clip with speech, music or noise, and you want to change only who is in it. The sound stays the same and the mouth has to match the speech.
- Generate new sound. You describe a scene or upload an image, and the model makes the video and its audio together.
- Dub the speech. You want the same person saying something else, in another voice or language. That is voice dubbing and lip sync, and Duble AI does not do it.
What each tool does with sound
| Tool | What it does with sound | Source |
|---|---|---|
| Duble AI | Keeps the recording's sound; when someone talks, the double's mouth follows the voice. Never creates voice or music | The app's catalogue |
| vswp | Puts the original audio back; the swap "changes how people look, not their voice" | Guide, Oct 1, 2026 |
| Real Xablau | "The voice, the mouth and the movements stay those of the video" | Xablau page |
| Higgsfield Ad Multiplier | Keeps the original audio on non-translated variants; translated ones get a synthetic voiceover | Changelog, Aug 25, 2026 |
| Kling Motion Control | Not stated in the guide | Kling guide |
| Viggle Motion Control | Not stated | Motion Control page |
| Gemini Omni Flash | Generates video with audio from text; ignores the audio of a video reference | Google's documentation |
| Seedance 2.5 | Generates audio and video together | ByteDance's page |
| PixVerse V6 | Optional generated audio alongside the video | PixVerse info page |
The Gemini Omni Flash row shows the difference in practice. Its documentation says a video reference is used for likeness, any audio in it is ignored, and uploading audio references is not supported in the current API. If you need the sound of a real recording, a generator of that kind will not give it to you.
How Duble AI handles sound
On Duble AI your AI influencer (the app calls it a double) takes the place of whoever is in a trend or in a clip of your own. The video model is Duble Identical, which copies the video frame by frame: movement, mouth, other people, setting and sound stay as recorded. When someone speaks or sings, the double's mouth follows the voice already in the recording.
The "Passinho do Jamal" trend shows it with music: the track is the same in both videos, and only the dancer changes.
What Duble AI does not do with sound: it creates no voice, changes no language, does not strip background music and adds no soundtrack. If you want narration or music on top, make the video on Duble AI, download it, and add the audio in an editor such as CapCut, whose AI video maker has voiceover and music steps. The price is per second: 3 credits a second at Standard and 4 at High (Full HD).

What to check in the sound before you generate
The result carries whatever sound you upload, so sound problems have to be fixed first.
- Listen to the whole clip. Noise, audio cuts or a song that stops midway will be in the finished video.
- Check the speech. If someone talks, the double's mouth will follow that voice. Muffled speech or heavy echo makes sync harder to judge.
- Trim before you upload. Duble AI takes 3 to 30 seconds, up to 80 MB. Trim on your phone to the part you want, sound included.
- Check afterwards. Watch with sound on and look at the mouth on stressed syllables and at the end of sentences.
Keeping the sound does not clear the music
Having the original audio in the file is a technical matter. Being allowed to publish it is another. A trending song may be cleared inside a social app and not for an ad or a website. Speech recorded by someone else is still theirs. Before using the video for a brand, read trend music in AI videos.
If what you want is a whole generated scene with sound, the right comparison is different: see text-to-video or character swap and the AI video models of 2026. To put yourself into a recording with your own voice, see how to put yourself in a video with AI.
Frequently asked questions
- Which AI tool replaces the person in a video and keeps the original audio?
- Duble AI, vswp and Real Xablau all say on their own pages that the result keeps the recording's sound, as of October 2026. On Duble AI, when someone talks, the double's mouth follows that voice. Kling Motion Control and Viggle do not say what happens to the reference clip's audio.
- Does Duble AI create voices or music?
- No. The finished video carries the sound of the clip you uploaded or the trend you picked, and Duble AI never creates a new voice, music or sound effects. It is not a voice-dubbing tool either: speech stays in the voice and language of whoever recorded it.
- Does the voice change when AI replaces the person in a video?
- Not with tools that keep the original sound. The swap changes how the person looks, and the voice stays the recording's. To hear a different voice you need a voice or dubbing tool, and then you combine the audio in an editor.
- Why did my AI video come out with different sound?
- The tool probably generates audio together with the picture. Text or image to video models such as Seedance 2.5, PixVerse V6 and Gemini Omni Flash create new sound from the prompt. To keep the sound of a real recording, use a tool that edits that recording.
- Does keeping the original sound give me the right to use the music?
- No. Keeping the sound in the file does not transfer the license for the song or the recording. A trending song may be usable inside a social app under its rules and still not be cleared for an ad or another site.
