Is Duble AI legit and safe? What it does with your photos, payments and failed videos

7 min read

Duble AI is a real service with two official sites (dubleai.com and dubleia.com), public terms of use and privacy policy, payments through Stripe, and credits returned when a video fails. That does not replace the usual care with any AI tool: check the address, read the terms, and upload only photos you have the right to use.

This page was written by the Duble team itself. So each point below says where you can check it: the Terms of use and Privacy pages, in the version of October 13, 2026. There are no user reviews, ratings, customer counts or certifications here, because none of that has been verified.

What are the official Duble AI sites?

The official addresses are dubleai.com, which opens in English, and dubleia.com, which opens in Portuguese. Spanish is at dubleia.com/es. It is the same site and the same product at every address, and each one offers every language. The support email is support@dubleia.com. "Double AI" is a generic phrase that also matches unrelated services, so look at the browser address before you sign in or pay. Duble AI: official site and how to start walks through the full path.

What happens to my photos and videos?

The photos you upload to make a double go through an automatic review, are kept with the character in your account, and are used to generate its images and videos. The photos and videos you upload to put the double into them are also kept, until you remove them from your uploads or delete the account.

  • Who receives files. The privacy policy lists the outside services that get data: the image and video models receive the text and images of each generation, a text model receives what you typed and the picture of the double, Stripe processes payments, and Cloudflare hosts the service. According to the policy, Duble does not sell your data.
  • Attempts that fail or are refused. The files go to a private record with the reason, so failures can be investigated and automatic decisions reviewed. These records are not published to the trend library.
  • A video you upload. It stays private and never becomes a trend. Only a finished video can enter the library, and only if you publish it.
  • Measurement. Usage and ad measurement (Meta, TikTok, Google, PostHog) is on for everyone from the first visit, with no banner, and you can turn it off on Privacy. The policy says it does not include your photos or videos, but the address of each page goes along, and on some pages it carries what you typed while putting a double together.
  • Deleting. Archiving deletes nothing. When you request deletion of a double, a video or the account, the files stay recoverable for 30 days and are then permanently removed. Deleting the account cancels the plan immediately and, after that period, removes doubles, videos, credits and history. Payment records stay with Stripe for as long as the law requires.

What the policy does not say is how long each AI service keeps what it receives. That is not documented, so it cannot be stated here.

Who can see my video?

Only you, until you share it. The link to a shared video shows the video, the double's name and a note that it was made with AI, and nothing about who made it. Anyone with the link can open the page, and it has a report button: a person on the team reviews each report and, if warranted, removes the video within 24 hours.

A double's profile also has a link. It shows the name, bio and finished videos and photos, except the ones you left out. Whoever opens it can copy the double, unless it was made from a person's own photos: that one has a profile but cannot be taken.

How does payment work?

Payments go through Stripe. In Brazil, credit packs accept Pix or card and the monthly plan accepts card; elsewhere payment is in dollars, by card. The full price is shown before you pay. Card details stay with Stripe, and Duble keeps the pack, the amount and the payment status.

  • Credit pack. A one-time payment, starting at $4.99 for 20 credits. Saving your card for the next purchase does not turn on automatic top-ups, and you can remove it on the payment screen.
  • Monthly plan. A card subscription, starting at $14.99 a month with 100 credits, charged every month until you cancel. Cancel on the credits page at any time: the plan runs to the end of the month already paid, and the credits you received stay in your account.
  • Expiry. Credits do not expire, neither pack credits nor plan credits, even after a plan is cancelled.
  • Watermark. Finished videos are downloaded with no watermark.

What if a video fails or is refused?

If a generation fails, the credits come back automatically. If the automatic review refuses a request or a result, no credits are used, and the screen says what it was and what to change before you try again.

Situation What happens Where it is written
The generation failed The credits come back on their own Terms, "Credits and payment"
The request or the result was refused No credits are used Terms, "What is not allowed"
The video finished but is faulty Report it on the video's page within 7 days; if the team confirms the fault, 80% of its credits come back Terms, "Credits and payment"
You want your money back Ask by email within 7 days of the purchase, for unused credits, to the same payment method Terms, "Credits and payment"
You deleted or archived a video already delivered The credits do not come back, because the video was delivered App rule

The 80% is the team's rule for faults: the video was already made and paid for at the generation service. A payment dispute removes the credits of that purchase and suspends the account until it is resolved.

What will Duble AI not do?

The terms forbid using another person's name, image or appearance without permission, and those of famous people or political figures in every case. They forbid asking for sexual, violent or hateful content, using characters or brands that belong to someone else, and uploading photos or videos you have no right to use. The automatic review refuses nudity and sexual content, including any sexualized depiction of children or teenagers. Duble also does not make a video from a text description: the double goes into a video that already exists.

An automatic review is not perfect, and the terms say it does not shift responsibility: whoever uploads, generates and publishes is responsible for using other people's image, voice and name. AI videos can also come out with flaws, and Duble promises no reach, followers or income. For the limits set by law and by platforms, see Is an AI influencer legal?.

What should I check myself?

  1. The address. Sign in at dubleai.com, dubleia.com or dubleia.com/es.
  2. The terms and privacy pages. Read Terms of use and Privacy, especially the parts on photos and on credits and payment.
  3. Your right to the photos. Upload photos of yourself or of people who agreed. How to make an AI influencer from a photo explains what the tool does with them.
  4. The cost before generating. The app shows the credits of each video before you confirm: a 10-second trend video uses 30 credits at Standard quality.
  5. The AI label. Mark content as made with AI where the platform asks. How to label AI content lists what each network asks for.

Frequently asked questions

Is Duble AI legit?
It is a real service with official sites (dubleai.com and dubleia.com), public terms of use and privacy policy, payments through Stripe, and written rules for failures and refunds. This page cites no reviews, ratings or certifications. Check the address and read the terms before paying.
What does Duble AI do with my photos?
Photos go through an automatic review, are kept in your account, and are used to generate your double's images and videos. They are sent to the AI services that do the generating. You can remove them from your uploads or delete your account.
Is it safe to pay on Duble AI?
Payments go through Stripe, and card details stay with Stripe, not with Duble. Credit packs are a one-time payment and a monthly plan is a card subscription. Saving a card does not turn on automatic top-ups: only a plan charges by itself.
What happens if a Duble AI video fails or is refused?
If a generation fails, the credits come back automatically. A request refused by the review does not use credits, and the screen says what to change. A finished video that came out faulty can be reported on its page within 7 days, and the team reviews it.
Can I get a refund from Duble AI?
The terms let you ask for a refund of unused credits within 7 days of the purchase, to the same payment method, by writing to support@dubleia.com. Credits for a video with a confirmed fault come back at 80%. Credits do not expire.
Can other people see my Duble AI videos?
Not unless you share them. Whoever has the link to a shared video sees the video and the double's name, marked as made with AI. A video you upload for the double to be put into stays private and never becomes a trend.
